About Paralia
Paralia is a sandy beach on Pieria, facing south-east. Land shelters it from winds from the west and the north-west, so those winds leave the water flat here. Winds from the north-east, the east, the south-east, and the south arrive over open sea and raise waves when they are strong. A road leads to the beach and there is parking nearby. Within 300 m there are 24 tavernas and restaurants, 16 bars and cafés, and toilets or showers. A beach resort is on or next to the beach. The sea is warmest in August, at about 26 °C. It is above 22 °C from June to September.
