About Portelo Beach
Portelo Beach is a sandy beach on Mathraki, facing north-east. Land shelters it from winds from the south, the south-west, the west, and the north-west, so those winds leave the water flat here. Winds from the north, the north-east, and the south-east arrive over open sea and raise waves when they are strong. A road leads to the beach. Within 300 m there are 2 tavernas and restaurants.
