About Kavourotrypes
Kavourotrypes is a beach on Halkidiki, facing north. Land shelters it from winds from the east, the south-east, the south, and the south-west, so those winds leave the water flat here. Winds from the north and the north-west arrive over open sea and raise waves when they are strong. A dirt track leads to the beach and there is parking nearby. Within 300 m there are 4 bars and cafés and toilets or showers. It is known as a naturist beach. The sea is warmest in August, at about 26 °C. It is above 22 °C from June to September.
Written from map data (OpenStreetMap contributors), our own measurement of the open sea around the beach and NOAA sea temperatures (1991-2020 averages).
