Kontogoni Beach is a sandy beach on Elafonisos, facing north-west. Land shelters it from winds from the east, the south-east, the south, and the south-west, so those winds leave the water flat here. Winds from the north-west arrive over open sea and raise waves when they are strong. A road leads to the beach and there is parking nearby. Within 300 m there are 13 tavernas and restaurants and 9 bars and cafés. The sea is warmest in August, at about 26 °C. It is above 22 °C from June to October.
